By completing the Author Accelerator Blueprint for a Novel, you will:
How It Works
- Over twelve weeks, you’ll receive the blueprint exercises in three stages.
- I’ll use track changes in MS Word and make observations on the blueprint exercises. I’ll point out opportunities for improvement and explain why something isn’t working and suggest actions to address it.
- We’ll have 3 x 60 minute book coaching sessions to discuss feedback and get clarity as you move through the blueprint exercises.
- At the completion of this package, you’ll have a blueprint for your novel, a plan of action, and an outline so you can get writing!

Manuscript Evaluation

Get a developmental edit, and an editorial letter highlighting the strengths of your draft and opportunities to improve. Through conversation and reflection, develop a strategy to refine your work.

You’ve received feedback that the story needs a developmental edit. The rising action is flat-lining, the characters have no agency, the story has plot holes, or the cast of characters is enormous. You’re overwhelmed and don’t know where to start. Get objective feedback and supportive guidance to improve your manuscript with efficiency.
What You'll Get
How It Works
Prior to the manuscript evaluation, you’ll submit:
- the manuscript in manuscript format.
- 300-word synopsis of your story.
- a 2-page outline of your story (if you have completed the Plan Your Novel package, please submit an ‘inside outline’)
- a character list with 1-2 sentences summarising their role, goal, motivation and conflict.
We’ll confirm an expected date to receive the editorial letter, action plan, and manuscript with mark-up.
- I’ll use track changes in MS Word to add observations on the manuscript, identify patterns, and point out opportunities for improvement. I’ll explain why something isn’t working and suggest actions to take to address it.
- Craft books and courses may be recommended for further study.
We’ll confirm the date of our 1 x 60 minute manuscript coaching Zoom, meet and discuss feedback and the action plan.
Manuscript Evaluation timeframes are negotiated between the Author and the Coach. The typical timeframe for completing a manuscript evaluation is 5 to 6 weeks.

We’ll work together to empower your writing, firm up your creative voice, and write up to 30,000 words of your draft with this intensive 6-session coaching package.
What You'll Get During Your Six Month Program
How Your Monthly Coaching Session Will Run
- One week before our first call, you’ll send me up to 5,000 words of your professionally formatted manuscript, any previous feedback received on your draft, a synopsis/outline, and character list.
- We’ll interpret the previous feedback and discuss how to implement it.
- We’ll discuss the purpose and goals for your manuscript, and focus on key opportunities for improvement.
- We’ll plan your next steps and establish a submission date for your next 5000 words.
- You’ll submit up to 5,000 words of your draft before each session, and your responses to set writing exercises/tasks.
- I’ll provide a developmental mark-up on the writing.
- During our coaching call, topics discussed include but not limited to:
- the cohesion and themes of the story, the narrative arc, the character arcs, the worldbuilding, etc.
- challenges, fears, perfectionism, writer’s block, or any other obstacles preventing you from writing your story.
- brainstorming story ideas, finding strategies to overcome obstacles and creating action plans to move the story forward.
- We’ll collaborate to plan your next steps and boost your creative writing power.

Support & Accountability
With monthly coaching support and accountability, you’ll write your story and receive developmental feedback. You’ll learn to trust the process and your skills. You’ll write your book with experience in receiving feedback that will help improve your draft.
